Mayor’s Message
Welcome to Point Edward, a vibrant village nestled on the shores of the St. Clair River at the mouth of Lake Huron. Enjoy picturesque views of the water and passing boats from Point Edward’s Waterfront Park and walkway along the St. Clair River, or visit one of the other parks, trails, and walkways that dot the landscape here.
The Village of Point Edward has been progressively independent since 1878 and has the distinction of having the only twin International Border Crossing in Canada. The Blue Water Bridge spans the St. Clair River between Point Edward and Port Huron, Michigan.
A large, fully serviced marina, an annual sailboat race, and fishing derbies provide opportunities to enjoy our waterfront location in the summer, while unique shopping and dining experiences, community events, and the Starlight Casino Point Edward provide year-round entertainment.
Community amenities include an arena, community hall, splash pad, tennis courts, playground equipment, and a seasonal Farmers’ Market held under the Bridge. In addition to the Market, another seasonal favourite in the area is sampling french fries—popular with residents and visitors alike—from vendors under the Bridge.
A variety of accommodations are available in Point Edward for both short- and long-term stays. The “Visitors” tab provides contact details for local hotels, as well as information on other Village amenities. We benefit from our proximity to larger urban areas, including Sarnia, Strathroy, London, and the United States border, which are all within an easy driving distance.
Come experience the hospitality and the extraordinary Point of view here in the Village.
