Sarnia Transit Services Feedback

In March of 2023, Sarnia Transit’s service schedule moved to a 40-minute frequency and the proposed change during that transition Point Edward service remained on its standard 30-minute loop., once every hour. With it remaining on the old 30-minute loop, it creates fewer connections and longer wait times at Northgate Terminal. It has been recommended to move from the existing schedule of once per hour to every 80 minutes, which will bring Point Edward’s service into alignment with the majority of Sarnia Transit’s routes. The additional 10 minutes added to the duration of each trip provides the opportunity to expand the current route. This expansion will allow residents of Point Edward a direct route to the hospital as well as Sarnia’s downtown core. Additionally, aligning an 80-minute frequency with Sarnia’s 40-minute service allows for direct connections with other buses.

Provided below are the details of the service comparison between the current service and the proposed changes:

Current Service Hours:

Day Current Service Times Current Frequency Trips
Monday - Friday 7:10 am - 6:40 pm 60 minute 12
Saturday 8:10 am - 6:40 pm 60 minute 11

Proposed Service Hours:

Day Proposed Service Times Proposed Frequency Trips
Monday - Friday 7:20 am - 6:40 pm 80 minute 9
Saturday 8:40 am - 6:40 pm 80 minute 8

Would a change from service every 30 minutes to every 40 minutes change your use of Sarnia Transit services?
Would adding the Bayside Mall and Bluewater Health to the route be beneficial for your use of Sarnia Transit?
Do you live in Point Edward?
