O.P.P.
The Point Edward O.P.P. detachment is staffed by Sgt. Tim Ives, ten officers and an office administrator who serve the residents of the Village of Point Edward and provide support to Hwy. 402. They are responsible for patrolling the Village as well as responding to emergency situations. In addition, they enforce a number of the Village by-laws including the Noise By-law.
The O.P.P. contract is administered by the Point Edward Police Services Board. The Board Chair is currently Carolyn Leaver-Luciani. The other member of the Point Edward Police Services Board is Vice Chair Louie Mele. They meet on a bi-monthly basis, normally the second Thursday of the month. Meetings are held in January, March, May, July, September and November. Residents are always welcome to attend the meetings.
