The Point Edward O.P.P. detachment is staffed by Sgt. Tom MacLean, ten officers and an office administrator who serve the residents of the Village of Point Edward and provide support to Hwy. 402. They are responsible for patrolling the Village as well as responding to emergency situations. In addition, they enforce a number of the Village by-laws including the Noise By-law.
The O.P.P. contract is administered by the Point Edward Police Services Board. The Board is composed of Chair Jack Rand, Vice Chair Kelly Geary and Mayor Dick Kirkland. They meet on a monthly basis, normally the second Tuesday of the month. Residents are always welcome to the meetings.
